ABOUT KERATOMETER A keratometer, also known as an ophthalmometer. Keratometers measure the radius of curvature of the anterior (front) corneal surface of the eye. They should permit the quick and convenient measurement of the diameter of the cornea, which allows the practitioner to judge the volume of the eyeball.
